I love water. I can never get enough of the good ‘ol h2o!! I know not everyone likes just plain water though. If you are going to add a little flavor, might as well add flavors that are also going to do something more than a hint of flavor. Sure add a lemon, but WHYYY should you add that lemon? Adding fruits, vegetables, and herbs to your water can have amazing health benefits to it, way beyond what you may think!
This drink right here is more than just a bundle of flavor added to your plain Jane water bottle. Take a look!
Lemon: awesome for your digestive tract. Gets things moving!!
Strawberry: these little babies contain biotin and antioxidant ellagic acid
which helps prevent sagging skin, hello geourgous skin!
Apple: Contains Vit.C a very powerful natural antioxidant. Plus it contains potassium and calcium!!
Mint Leaves: Helps to improve digestion. Also can aid in relieving seasonal allergy symptoms!
Cinnamon: Improves circulation and thins blood, and also manages your blood sugar level.
In return you have fewer sugar cravings
I started off with two water bottles that hold 25oz each. I filled them up to the 24oz mark and assembled my ingredients!
For each I used:
- 24 oz water
- 1/2 of a small lemon
- 1 strawberry
- 1/4 of an apple (I used granny smith)
- 2 large and 2 small mint leaves
- 1/4 tsp of cinnamon (I think I will use a little less next time)
I made two of these, I usually always try to get half of my body weight in water daily. Sometimes I do more, but today I thought two of these would work out just fine!! I made them this morning, had one by my side all morning, and finished by 1:00 to start the second one to finish off my day 🙂
